Launched in February 2026, this history project for the Valguarnera Italian Social Club in Melbourne involved two years of community consultation, oral history interviews, archival research, writing and editing and collection of images and objects to add to the text.

The launch of the book was a celebration of community, history and the journeys from a small town in Sicily to a whole new life in Australia. As all good histories should, the day inspired storytelling, reminiscing and a spark of enthusiasm for reshaping the Club for future generations.
